Buck World One, Fall 2007 BUCK WORLD ONE is a performance event featuring ten young dancers and four young poets in a theatrical presentation centered around the dance style called “buck.” Rickerby Hinds, founder of Hindsight Productions and Assistant Professor of Playwriting at the University of California, Riverside, brings this talented group of young performers to UC Santa Barbara as part of their California-wide tour. Buck World One features youth and young adults from San Bernardino, Highland, Redlands, and Riverside. They are: Crystal Davis, Davion Clayton, Demetrius Welch, Evan Harris, Jarrett Lacey, Christopher Jackson, Joesanna Osborne, John Muldrew, Ralphy Burris, Timothy Dupree, Tyrone Sutton, Alexander Brown-Hinds, Tamara Florence, and Alex Avila.

MacArthur award-winning playwright, Luis Alfaro, Isla Vista teen members of Nuestra Voz, and residents from the neighborhood retirement home Friendship Manor collaborated to create and perform The Monument Project. This world premiere was performed at UCIRA's First Annual State of the Art Conference.
