Shakespeare in the Park presents:
The Merry Wives of Windsor

In conjunction with Isla Vista Arts, and UCSB's Department of Theater and Dance
The Spring 2011 performances June 2 & 3 in Anisq'Oyo Park were wonderful, and we look forward to the next Shakespeare in the Park performance coming up in Fall 2011.

About Shakespeare in the Park
Shakespeare in the Park is a program that brings classical drama to the heart of Isla Vista. Founded by graduate student Jason Narvy and produced by I.V. LIVE, Shakespeare in the Park provides a free, family-friendly production in the lovely setting of the Anisq'Oyo' Park amphitheater. In Winter, 2008 we welcomed Shakespeare in the Park's first production ofJulius Caesar, an hour long, abridged version of the famous tragedy.

In the fall of 2009, Gerry Hansen became Artistic Director of Shakespeare in the Park, directing McBeth! in the spring of 2010.  McBeth! combined the language of Shakespeare with the physical comedy of Commedia del'Arte and was brought back to Anisq'Oyo' Park by popular demand in November 2010.  We are excited to announce the upcoming production of The Merry Wives of Windsor in spring of 2011, to be performed in Anisq'Oyo' Park.
